Ayurvedic medicines
Selected for you, as part of your care.
At our Ambernath clinic, medicines are prescribed after consultation, with your health history, current treatment and everyday needs in mind. Your physician brings Ayurvedic assessment and clinical experience together to plan medicines, diet and lifestyle guidance for you.

Your treatment plan
Care begins with the whole clinical picture.
Your history matters
Bring previous prescriptions, relevant reports and a list of medicines or supplements. These help your physician understand the care you already receive.
Medicines have a place in the plan
The treating physician selects medicines according to your condition and assessment. Diet and lifestyle guidance form part of the consultation; procedures are added when clinically appropriate.
Clear instructions
Every patient receives a written prescription after consultation. Ask about the purpose of each medicine, how to use it and when your response should be reviewed.

Our sourcing approach
Kerala Ayurvedic pharmacies are our preferred sources. Medicines from other Ayurvedic manufacturers may also be used according to clinical requirements and availability.
Your prescription concerns a particular medicine. Ask us about its name, ingredients and manufacturer, and the instructions relevant to your treatment.
Ashtaang dispenses medicines to its own patients following consultation; the clinic does not operate as a retail medicine shop.
Tradition and clinical judgement
Understand why a medicine is being considered.
Classical Ayurvedic knowledge and traditional use inform our practice. Our physicians apply their clinical experience to the individual case and explain how a medicine fits within the treatment plan.
Contemporary research provides a separate source of evidence. Findings vary by formulation and condition, so the discussion should relate to the actual medicine proposed, including what is known and what remains uncertain.

Medicines selected for you.
Let your physician know about any medicines or supplements you take, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, so these can be considered in your care.
Your physician will explain how to use the prescribed medicines and any precautions relevant to them. Changes to existing treatment should be discussed with the prescribing doctor.

Bring the prescription. Tell us what has changed.
Bring your previous written prescription and any new reports. Discuss your response, practical difficulties and questions about the plan. Follow-up timing depends on your condition and treatment; it is not the same for every patient.
