  • Knee pain: assessment before treatment
  • 29 May 2025 by
Ashtaang Kerala Ayurveda Clinic, Sandeep Pillai

Knee pain can have different causes, so the first step is understanding what is responsible for your symptoms. At Ashtaang, we discuss how the problem began, how it affects movement and what investigations or treatment you have already had.

    Choosing care for the individual

After assessment, your physician may discuss Ayurvedic medicines, diet and lifestyle advice or a suitable procedure. Janu Basti and Abhyanga are among the traditional treatments available, but availability does not mean that either is appropriate for every painful knee.

The aim of a treatment plan is agreed with you and reviewed at follow-up. We do not promise cartilage repair, a pain-free outcome or treatment without adverse effects. Where another assessment or treatment is needed, Ayurvedic care should not delay it.

Bring your reports and current medicine list to consultation. Contact reception on +91 95521 28485 during working hours to arrange an appointment.
